Presentation of the Sustainable Value Chains Guidelines at ExpoANTAD | 2018
On March 8th, 2018, ExpoANTAD, Latin-America biggest trade fair of the retail and food industries will take place in Guadalajara, Mexico. As part of its programme, the EMM network together with its strategic partner FUNDES (international organisation promoting the development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises’ competitiveness in Latin America) will present the guidelines on how to build sustainable value chains by promoting the inclusion and strengthening of small suppliers (an executive summary of the guidlines is available in Spanish and can be downloaded below). These guidelines were developed with the support of FUNDES as part of the EMM network’s partnership initiative with ANTAD (Mexico’s National Association of Departmental Stores and Retailers) on sustainable value chains.
The objective of the event is to present a model of action that will serve as a guide for the creation of inclusive, competitive and sustainable commercial chains in Mexico and other emerging economies. For this, FUNDES will present the methodology as well as related challenges and opportunities. Moreover, representatives of commercial chains from ANTAD as well as SME suppliers that benefited from inclusion and strengthening programs will participate in this event in order to discuss and share their experiences and lessons learned. See here for a short introduction video to the event.
The presentation held at the event can be downloaded below (available in Spanish only).
