Final Presentation of Sustainability ROI Handbook in Brazil | 2018
As part of the Sustainable Return on Investment (ROI) initiative, this event will be the final presentation of the “Sustainability Return on Investment Handbook: How to Analyse the Financial Return of Sustainability Projects”. This handbook was developed by the EMM Network for Sustainability in partnership with its Brazilian technical partner GVces (Center for Sustainability Studies of the São Paulo Business Administration School of Fundação Getulio Vargas).
This document is the outcome of the second phase of the EMM Network’s initiative “Sustainability ROI” and it reflects the learnings of the work conducted in 2015 by the Brazilian EMM members. During the first phase of the initiative, seven companies (AES Brasil, Grupo Boticário, Odebrecht – Odebrecht Defesa e Tecnologia e Construtora Norberto Odebrecht, Siemens – Siemens Healthcare e Fundação Siemens, Adidas Brasil, CPFL Energia and Votorantim Cimentos) developed eleven case studies to analyse the financial return of their sustainability projects. A final report, summarising these case studies, was published in 2016 and can be found here. Based on these experiences, the new handbook seeks to encourage more sustainability managers to incorporate capital budgeting techniques in their management practices by offering methodologies and guidance for those who wish to financially analyse their sustainability projects. Following this event, the new handbook will be published on the EMM webpage.
In this event, participants will have the opportunity to discuss the methodologies companies have used to incorporate financial analysis into sustainability projects, as well as to learn about related challenges and opportunities. Representatives of the EMM members Grupo Boticário, Siemens and Bradesco will also participate in order to talk about their experiences and to provide interested companies with direct guidance and advice. The agenda will be included in the download section of this event.
